Sometimes, simply helping a person reduce the stress in their life and relax can be enough to reduce the phobia feelings to almost nothing.
Other times, your solution-focused hypnotherapist will start by emptying your metaphorical stress bucket. The next session will be called a rewind. This is where a memory of a phobia situation will be replayed forwards and backwards in your mind until it no longer feels bad in anyway. The third session is called a reframe. This is where, in trance, you picture yourself acting the way you want to behave around whatever used to make you feel phobic. After that, you will be able to see spiders, give presentations, get on a plane, etc, without giving it a second thought.
