I currently run all of my therapy sessions via zoom. I am therefore not limited to serving a geographical catchment area. This means that therapy sessions can take place from the comfort of your own home and you avoid the hassle and added stress of travelling to an appointment.Â

By using Solution Focused Hypnotherapy. This is a type of therapy that uses a combination of psychotherapy(talking therapy) and hypnosis to help you come up with solutions to your problems. It is very modern and forward-thinking, so as a result there is no need for you to visit the past.
We don’t need to find out what caused your anxiety or current condition in order to free you from it. Focusing on what caused your condition tends to be very problem-focused. When trying to analyse the history of your condition it is likely that many issues arise which then become the focus of the therapy. By concentrating on the problem it is often the case that the solution isn't found, meaning that you may never feel fully back and in control of your life.
Our focus is always on the future, getting you to a time when you feel calm and in control of your life. This is your end destination. We always have your end destination in mind during each therapy session. Always looking to make small improvements towards your ultimate goal.
Through talking we discuss what your end destination looks like. You begin to visualise a future where you no longer suffer. I might ask, what difference would it make if you worried less? what would that look like? who else might notice? what would they say? By answering these questions, you build up a picture in your mind of your end destination.
We then build up a step by step plan to get you to your preferred future self. A life where you are free from your condition. A life where you have achieved true inner calm and are in control of your life. Free from the problems that you came to see me for. Can you picture that now?
We use hypnotherapy at the end of the session once you have envisaged the next step towards your preferred future. Here you will be guided into a relaxed state in order that your conscious and unconscious minds can communicate with each other to find solutions to your current problems. We normally refer to this relaxed state as a 'trance'.
Solution Focused Hypnotherapy is extremely effective in treating many conditions including; anger, anxiety, chronic pain, confidence, depression, fears and phobias, fertility problems, insomnia, IBS, performance anxiety, PTSD, stopping smoking and sports performance.
I'll book you in for an initial consultation which will last for approximately 40 minutes.
This serves two very important purposes; for us to discuss your background information and then for you to understand the neuroscience around your complaint.
By analysing your background information I will be able to get a fuller picture of what you want your ideal outcome to be. This will then enable me to put together an individualised treatment plan in place.
You'll also begin to understand why you suffer in the way that you do and more importantly how we are going to work together to help you overcome these issues. We don't use any hypnotherapy during this time, however, you will be provided with my 'Guided Relaxation' download to help begin the process of positive change.
There is no obligation to proceed to full therapy sessions.

What does this mean for you?
The HPD shows that I have completed a Hypnotherapy in Practise Diploma. This is considered to be the gold standard for hypnotherapists. In fact, it is estimated that less than 20% of practising hypnotherapists have this qualification. It takes roughly 120 hours of classroom learning and many hundreds of hours more studying and practising at home. I hope this gives you the confidence to know I have the knowledge to be able to help you, having received some of the very best training possible.
The DSFH shows that I have completed a Diploma in Solution Focused Hypnotherapy. This is a Level 4 qualification which involved me researching and analysing how to use a solution focused approach to help people quickly overcome a variety of problems.
The Association for Solution Focused Hypnotherapy (AfSFH), National Council for Hypnotherapy (NCH) and the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC) are all professional bodies that I am a member of. Each has its own codes of conducts that I adhere to. You are only allowed to join each association if you hold a recognised qualification and are fully insured. They also stipulate that I must continue to learn and develop as a therapist by attending professional development training courses.
