Hi, I’m Sharon. With over 35 years of experience in Health and Social Care, including 12 years at Executive level, I’ve dedicated my career to helping people receive quality care while leading and coaching my team to thrive both personally and professionally. I loved my work—it was deeply fulfilling to make a difference in people’s lives every day. But experiences like leading a social care organisation through the challenges of COVID was an experience like no other. The responsibility for so many lives was overwhelming at times, and, like many in the industry, I didn’t fully realise the toll it had taken until much later. We had no time to process what we were going through—we just kept going, caring for others and setting our own needs aside, grateful when it was finally over. But the demands of such a busy and high-pressure career eventually took their toll. Facing burnout and an unexpected redundancy gave me the space to reflect and recognise the lasting impact of those years. For me, it was also a turning point—a chance to find a new path where I could continue helping others in a way that felt sustainable and aligned with my values. I discovered hypnotherapy and it changed my life. Think of hypnotherapy as personal training—only instead of working on your body, we focus on your mind. Just like a personal trainer helps you build strength and reach your fitness goals, I’ll work with you to create a plan for your mental wellbeing.
When you see a personal trainer, they start by finding out where you are now and what you want to achieve. Together, you set realistic goals and create a step-by-step program to move you closer to those goals. Hypnotherapy works in much the same way.
