I have over 9 years of experience helping hundreds of people to change their lives for the better.
I know how hard it can be to make the first step to changing something in your life, especially if it’s been an issue for a long time. Arranging the first session is a huge step in the right direction.
My approach
I want you to feel comfortable from the moment you make contact and throughout our work together. I will help you to understand your brain better and develop the skills and techniques to empower you to make the changes you want.
My aim is to help you find the solutions that are the right ones for you.
We’ll work together to find ways to overcome any difficulties, whatever your specific issues are, to achieve what you want and have the life you deserve.
We’ll discuss and agree your goals right from the start, to ensure you’re achieving the results you want.
We’ll work through a course of sessions which allow you to recognise your strengths, let go of the past, open your mind to new possibilities and be ready to welcome in new opportunities in a really positive frame of mind.
Working remotely with you, via Zoom or over the telephone, means you don’t have to worry about travelling to an appointment and you can relax during the session in the comfort and privacy of your own home.
As the sessions involves hypnosis, please ensure that you have somewhere to make yourself comfortable such as a comfy chair, sofa or bed.
I can offer appointments during the day and evening, from Tuesday to Thursday; during the day on Friday and on Saturday morning.
My experience and specialisms
I specialise in helping people with issues around generalised anxiety disorder, panic attacks and stress; whether work-related or not.
I help people to sleep better; build their self-confidence and self-esteem; overcome fears and phobias and quit smoking; as well as many other issues.
I believe that there are very few issues which will not respond well to Solution Focused Hypnotherapy.
As a qualified and experienced Solution Focused Clinical Hypnotherapist, I hold a Diploma in Hypnotherapy and Psychotherapy from the renowned Clifton Practice Hypnotherapy Training School.
I’ve had previous experience of working with vulnerable people in a variety of settings, including a women’s refuge, and I’ve worked for the NHS, Local Government and the Civil Service throughout my life.
Initial Session
Our first session will be your opportunity to tell me how you would like hypnotherapy to help and to identify what your goals are; so you can make sure you are moving towards them.
I’ll explain a little about how the brain works, to enable you to understand why you may be thinking, feeling or behaving in a particular way and what you can do to change it.
The final part of the session will be the hypnotherapy itself; which is a lovely, relaxing experience.
I’ll also send you a hypnotherapy, relaxation download to listen to; to consolidate the work you've done and keep the momentum going in between sessions.
We’ll then arrange your next appointment.
Subsequent sessions will include positive conversation about what has been good or better since the previous session; further explanation around the brain; monitoring where you are on an agreed scale, to ensure you are moving towards your goals and positive hypnotherapy to reinforce the work you've done and allow your subconscious mind to get on board with your desired changes.
I tend to see clients for between 6 - 10 sessions, on average, although everyone is different and we will do as many sessions as you feel you need. Most people start to feel the benefits from the very first session.

Solution Focused Hypnotherapy is a modern approach, which means that you don't have to revisit the past to make the changes you want for the future.
When anxiety or stress is causing you to feel overwhelmed, Solution Focused Hypnotherapy can help you to understand why you feel the way you do and help you to recognise the strengths you already have, to make the changes you need to overcome the issues you want.
Our work will be undertaken in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom, regardless of where you are located.

I believe that you, as the client, know best what will work for you and the best way to achieve your goals. My role is to support you with this.

‘Working with Anne was transformational!
I decided to work with her to help me manage nerves when public speaking. I was finding work presentations increasingly difficult and stressful and feeling that I wasn't doing myself - or the work of my team - justice.
Anne did some hypnotherapy with me during our sessions and I reinforced this by listening to recordings in the evening, which was easy to do as they ranged from 15 to 40 minutes, so could easily fit into the time I had available.

Prioritising looking after my own well-being has made it easier to draw boundaries and then be a better support to others.
While I didn't see myself as a worrier or anxious person, I would always take on a lot and 'load up' my life.
Being able to step back and pause I now feel able to set new challenges for myself with the confidence that they are manageable - with occasional help from Anne and regular listening to the hypnotherapy recordings to ensure I stay relaxed and grounded'.
